The author, Ling ZeXin, has an aesthetic painting style departing from harmony. He likes to draw with conflicting and exaggerated objects which make every detail meaningful. In his mind, drawing is imagination like a flight of the windhorse. Each painting has its own meaning and different people will have different understanding of it. Drawing is emotional while being alive is rational. He endeavours to be a better man who can paint and live what he likes with his own paintings.
