Jansie is heartbroken when the handsome, enigmatic Silvan marries her sister, Tavia, instead of her. But when she is invited to stay at their remote manor house a few months later, she realises at once that her sister’s apparent happiness is a mask hiding something very sinister. She needs help. But who can she trust? Tavia? Silvan? Gilmer, the young herbalist who works at the manor and shows more than a passing interest in her? Her choice could make the difference between success and failure.
