How To Apologize Effectively
by Cynthia MacGregor
"Uh-oh."
Is that the thought (or at least the feeling) that comes to you when you've accidentally committed some sort of misdeed that inadvertently hurt someone's feelings, you've figuratively stepped on someone's toes, or you've otherwise comitted a social gaffe (or even a business blunder)?
And now you know you need to apologize...but you don't quite know how to go about it. Will words be sufficient? If so, what are the right words? Is something more than a verbal apology called for? If so, what should you do?
This book will help. The title says it all: HOW TO APOLOGIZE EFFECTIVELY. The next time you say or do something that calls for an apology, don't compound the error by hoping the other person will just forget about it. Say and/or do the right thing, and redeem yourself in the other person's eyes. They'll feel better about it...and so will you.
