Jane Eyre is a novel by Charlotte Brontë, published in 1847 by Smith, Elder & Company, which, at the time of its appearance-won great popularity, high up to the author as one of the best romantic novelists, and is now considered a classic of English literature. It tells the story of Jane Eyre, a young woman who was raised by her wicked aunt when his parents died and she was sent to an orphanage Lowood, shortly thereafter, with only 10 years. There he meets Helen Burns, her only true friend and is with her until she died of tuberculosis soon after. Jane grows and the age of 18 leaves from Lowood to continue his life elsewhere. It was announced in the newspaper and gets a job as governess at Thornfield Hall, where they will have to take the education of Mr. Rochester's protegee, Adele Varens.

Jane Eyre es una novela escrita por Charlotte Brontë, publicada en 1847 por Smith, Elder & Company, que -en el momento de su aparición- consiguió gran popularidad, encumbrando a la autora como una de las mejores novelistas románticas, y es hoy considerada un clásico de la literatura en lengua inglesa. Narra la historia de Jane Eyre, una joven que fue criada por su perversa tía cuando sus padres murieron y que fue enviada a un orfanato, Lowood, poco después, con tan solo 10 años. Allí conoce a Helen Burns, su única y verdadera amiga, y está con ella hasta que muere de tuberculosis poco después. Jane crece y al cumplir los 18 años se marcha de Lowood para continuar con su vida en otra parte. Se anuncia en el periódico y consigue un trabajo como institutriz en Thornfield Hall, donde se tendrá que ocupar de la educación de la protegida de Mr. Rochester, Adele Varens.
