About the Author: STEPHEN MOOSER was born and grew up in Fresno, California. He received a bachelor’s degree in motion pictures and a master’s degree in journalism from UCLA. He worked as a reporter and filmmaker before writing children’s books. Mr. Mooser is also a former treasure hunter; he has searched for pirate treasure in Panama, an outlaw treasure belonging to Butch Cassidy in Utah. “Though I found no major part of the treasures,” the author says, “parts of my adventures have found their way into my books.”
