Simian Speed Reader
Simian Speed Reader is a ebook reader based on the ideas of Rapid Serial Visual Presentation. There are several good online versions of this presentation style, and iReadFast is pretty awesome if you have a Mac, but I wanted one for the iPhone.

Since a few of the negative reviews mention this, I want to be really clear on what Rapid Serial Visual Presentation is. It means the app displays 1 word at a time, flashed very fast. based on feedback version 1.6 added the ability to flash up to 4 words at a time, but that's it. It's a feature, not a bug. If you want a normal book reader, I really like Bookshelf and Stanza, both are pretty awesome.
If you have a problem, please e-mail me, I try to get back to everyone within 48 hours. I'm setting up a new dedicated website for SSR, which will make this even easier.
I personally Think the url handler in version 1.8.1 will really make this a worthwhile app and hope other people think so to.
I've included two books from Project Gutenberg to get you started. My Man Jeeves by P.G. Wodehouse and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Project Gutenberg is an incredible resource for free ebooks, and most of them are already in the format Simian Speed Reader likes.
I tried to keep everything as simple and as straight forward as possible, but if you're having issues, please visit the support site, it has more info on getting everything working.
