European VAT Validator Pro allows you to validate any European VAT number and, if supported by the member state, verify the companies name and address. If you are a VAT registered company then you can also request a consultation ID from the European commission which can be used to prove you checked a company was VAT registered. To request consultation ID's you must be VAT registered yourself and enter your VAT number into settings (top left button).

To validate a VAT number, simply select the country, enter the VAT number and tap Validate. Within seconds you will be told if the VAT number is valid or not.

Some member states do not disclose the company name and address in which case you will simply be told whether the VAT number is valid or not.

Once you have validated a number, you can use the actions menu (top right) to copy the company details or email them.

European VAT Validator Pro uses the official VIES VAT Validation service provided by the European commission which in turn validates the number against the VAT database of the selected member state.


PLEASE NOTE

Some member states have a small period of un-availability at which point you will see a 'Service Unavailable' message. If this happens simply try again a little later.
