Favaloro's Big Night Bistro

We opened 15 years ago as Favaloro's Restaurant on Forest Avenue in Pacific Grove. Four years later we moved to Downtown Pacific Grove and now with our third and permanent location, still on lighthouse avenue...you know the third time is always a charm.

Favaloro's Big Night Bistro reopened in our building where the Scotch Bakery sat for many years after selling our restaurant in late 2005. Both I and my husband thought we were going to retire..... but we missed all of our customers and the fun events that we had.

One night we were visiting with our dear friends Philippe and Michelle and we were trying to decided on a name for our new bistro. We had just watched the movie The Big Night a few days prior and we were having fun that night having dinner and good wine... they suggested The Big Night. that was it! I thought what a better name than Favaloro's Big Night Bistro where every night's a big night. Now with our second anniversary coming up on March 8th I can say that the name describes this bistro.

I enjoy cooking and both I and my husband Nino do all the cooking in our bistro, our son John is a waiter along with Jesse who has been with us for 10 years. My 15 year old daughter Ariana plays hostess and presents the dessert tray to our diners. Ariana was only three days old when we opened Favaloro's in 1993 so she knows a lot of our loyal customers or should I say they all remember her when she was tiny. My youngest son Anthony is soon to follow in her footsteps. My husband makes fresh bread daily and all the desserts as I run the kitchen... I love to cook and come up with new entrees all the time. When our customers leave the bistro happy and return, that makes me happy. As a customer recently said to me...Primo and Secondo from the Big Night wished they had this Bistro.
