Mobile Data Logistics (MDL) is a comprehensive software solution for easy, fast, and efficient sharing of small-format image recordings acquired by means of ordinary mobile devices with a built-in camera, such as mobile telephones, communicators, or PDAs. The solution is designed for companies that need for their work to create and share image recordings obtained in the field or outside the workplace, and want the best way to optimize, improve, and reduce the cost of this process.
For routine creation of image recordings and their subsequent manipulation, Mobile Data Logistics provides the mobile software application MDL Courier. The application is conceived as a multifunctional manager of image recordings, which in its program menu provides all functions needed for working with the recordings. For the acquisition of image information it uses an internal application for controlling the embedded camera, so the user simply creates a photo recording in the usual manner. Acquired recordings are sent from the application to the MDL Server, which allows their sharing with other users via the Internet. For working with recordings the limited possibilities of mobile sevices were taken into account - in particular the simple keypad and small display therefore control of the application always respects those possibilities of specific platforms and adapts to them. The user interface is fast and intuitive, thus enabling highly efficient work.
