Art Puzzles: Sliding Slices

This fun app introduces kids and adults to 110 wonderful public domain paintings in art history — from da Vinci to Van Gogh.

The puzzles are created by slicing the painting into strips and scrambling the slices. To solve the puzzle simply slide the slices into the right position.

Trying to solve the puzzles makes kids focus on the paintings with a degree of concentration and detail that a casual glance at a book or even a museum visit cannot achieve. This helps shape not only their general knowledge of art, but also their aesthetic sensibilities long before then can learn the names of the artists and paintings. They will learn to see the world through the eyes of these great masters while they discover the diversity of styles and techniques used in painting.

34 difficulty levels (from 6 slices to 40) means fun for children, from older toddlers to teenagers, and adults too!
