Cesvi - an independent lay association founded in 1985 - is today one of the most important humanitarian organisations in Italy. In the acronym Cesvi, the words “cooperazione e sviluppo” (Cooperation and Development) underline the fact that Cesvi bases its philosophy on the idea of giving the recipients of aid a leading role, working together for their own natural benefit. It is for this reason that Cesvi is strongly committed to making sure that international aid does not become mere charity, and nor is it influenced by the donors’ self-interest.

One of the most important Cesvi’s campaign is “Stop Child Labour – School is the best place to work” promoted by the European network Alliance2015 with the support of the European Commission.
The Stop child labour - School is the best place to work campaign aims to remind all governments, companies and social actors of their responsibility towards those children who are victims of child labour, and to promote full-time and quality education.

Cesvi aims to sensitize all players on child labour and child rights issues through a dynamic and funny memory game. The players have to combine the couples of cards: the cards show elements of play and work, such as a ball, a book, a shovel, a hammer…the tools used by children at schools and children at work. Card by card, the players discover a beautiful Cesvi’s photograph about children. The photographs are the prizes for the winners. The game is an opportunity to be part of a international campaign signing a petition and forwarding the message and the photos to their friends.
