I Learn Chinese - Slang Words
Have you ever wondered what your friends mean when they say someone are "truly cow"? Or what does "big hand big foot", or "iron rooster" mean in Chinese? Or you just want to know the Chinese equivalent to some English slang words but feel shy to ask about it?
Being the first of its kind, this app is exactly for helping you understand many such words which you will almost hear every day in a Chinese environment but you will never learn from a Chinese textbook, at least not from those "formal" courses on Chinese! Understanding these words, even if you will never use them, may give you an advantage in truly understanding what Chinese are talking about!
This app introduces and organizes the Chinese slang words into four categories: Traditional, Concurrent Society, Internet, and Restricted.
The app presents the slang words in a quick view list which you can glide through to have an easy browse. Or you can go through the hard way by learning the words through the quizzes provided in this app.
A search utility comes with the app and you can search by Chinese characters, pinyin, or English meanings.
