CIT
The Center for Instructional Technology provides leadership in exploring and promoting
new technologies that will enhance teaching and learning at Columbia College. The
Center supports faculty and staff in the creative implementation of technology across
the curriculum. The CIT iPhone Application was developed primarily for the Columbia
College Chicago community but can also be useful to anybody interested in instructional
technology.
Features:
-People - Meet the CIT team. Find out who to contact for your instructional technology
needs and email/call right from our application.
-Workshops - Check the upcoming CIT workshops and register on your phone. Most of
the CIT workshops are recorded so if you canʼt attend, you can always watch them in
our app.
-Blog - Follow the CITʼs blog with news about our department, workshops, events,
articles, etc.
-CIT Stream - The stream allows you a quick access to instructional technology related
bookmarks, and tweets. Reading the CIT Stream is a great way to keep current in the
world of instructional technology.
-Featured Technologies - The CIT promotes various technologies that enhance
teaching and learning. Examples include smart boards, clickers, teaching with WEB
2.0, etc. The Featured sections provides information, videos, and pictures related to
some of these technologies.
-Links - Quick way to find CIT on facebook, twitter, flicr, youtube, delicious, etc.
-Apps - Links to other iPhone applications related to Columbia College or Instructional
Technology.
