Guitar Trainer HD
An educational game to learn the location of notes on the fretboard of the guitar and other stringed instruments. Also includes bass (4/5/6 strings), mandolin, ukulele and banjo! Now available as a full universal app for both iPad and iPhone/iPod touch!
You are presented with a random note on the fretboard, and are offered a variety of choices for the correct answer. Just pick the button corresponding to the correct choice to score a hit!
As your score gets better and you manage to identify notes faster across the entire fretboard, your working knowledge of your instrument increases!
Training mode allows to focus learning on particular parts of the fretboard, and even focus on individual strings.
Game mode provides a fun way to make progress. Work your way through levels of increasing difficulty!

The basic version comes with full support for the electric guitar. Additional instruments can be purchased from within the app, either separately or as a discounted bundle.
What's new
A few minor bug fixes before the upcoming 4.0 release :
- Selection of a single string to focus training should now be working.
- The top string on banjo is now playable properly.
