LianXiShuZi (Chinese Number Practice)
Numbers are an essential component of becoming fluent in any language. For the most part, learning numbers in Chinese is much simpler than many other languages as all of the numbers from 0-99 are based on the numbers 0-9. Beyond 99, however, things become a little more complicated, and you have the further challenge of learning the written form. LianXiShuZi is designed to help you study and practice Reading, Writing, and Listening to numbers until each exercise becomes automatic.
Study is self-directed. For each of the 3 exercises, you choose a range of numbers, and the system presents them to you randomly.
The Listening exercise consists of audio recorded by a native Mandarin Chinese speaker for the numbers 0-100. Beyond 100, the system plays audio of arbitrary numbers by combining components from smaller numbers. This approach will allow you to learn to understand Chinese numbers up to and including 2 billion.
