Mars Surface Times
What time is it on Mars?
It depends upon the spacecraft.
Time is uniquely established for each spacecraft operating on the surface of Mars.
Dates are measured in "sols" (days on Mars) relative to landing.
Hours and minutes are slightly longer than on Earth, accommodating the slightly longer Martian day.
Local and universal time are also shown.
Tap displayed Earth time to switch between day-of-year and month-day date.
Tap dispayed Mars time to switch between spacecraft and mission name.
Stays on when plugged into a power source.
