NAS - Numbers And Sense
Let’s face it. It is not easy, nor is it interesting for most kids to learn basic math facts. However, those who invest time and energy to learn are greatly rewarded in subsequent studies and see great acceleration in many subjects later on. Firm foundation is a MUST for subsequent success, academic and otherwise.
While no one can guarantee results but a student that is going to invest his/her time into this, N&S certainly makes it for an interesting journey.
N&S hooks and engages users by appealing to their sense of numbers. A set of challenges are presented in various levels of difficulties that require learner to formulate number sentences consisting of basic math operations and execute them. Sense of number is developed by performing these exercises.
Having gone thru exercises, multiple choice test may be taken to assess how well basic math facts are mastered.
