The Austrian Cultural Forum New York (ACFNY), an agency of the Republic of Austria, is located in an extraordinary architectural landmark building in Manhattan. It is a cultural, academic, and intellectual meeting place for Austrians, Americans, and citizens from all over the world. NOUS-Guide invites you to visit & learn more about the Cultural Forum, its famous architecture by Raimund Abraham and its exhibitions.
„The Artist as troublemaker“ is shown through March 28, 2009: Art often has the potential to "make trouble", with artists serving as the "troublemakers" who want to rethink and reinvent the existing social order and its institutions; works by Guenther Brus, Martin Kippenberger, Olafur Eliasson, Dorit Margreiter and others are exemplary of provocative creativity and institutional practice.
