The Reading Game Book 2 is the second volume of the Montessori Home™ Reading Game Series. This book continues the learning process by building upon the words and sounds learned in Book 1 of the series.
The Montessori Home™ Reading Game is fun for the beginning reader (age 5 through 7), as it leads the child through colorful and entertaining lessons. The Reading Game is an interactive version of the Programmed Reading series by Phoenix Learning Resources. This methods and sequence used in this series have been proven over the years to be highly effective in teaching reading fundamentals. At the completion of the series, your child will have achieved a second-grade reading level.
In the Reading Game children learn to decode unfamiliar words through a strong presentation of phonetically regular sound-symbol patterns. Students become acquainted with new words in an evolving familiar context. Illustrations and audio help young learners recognize and understand new words by providing context and feedback.
To your child this will feel like a game. Kids love to have fun while learning. They thrive on achievement. The Reading Game is designed to give children repeated success, developing self-confidence and pride in achievement.
The Reading Game supports multiple students, and allows the parent to adjust a student’s position in the lesson sequence.
