The Restoration Foundation began as a ministry of James Vinzant in the 1970s as a means to publish material that related to congregations of the churches of Christ. In his lessons and presentations, Vinzant details the story of Barton Stone, Thomas and Alexander Campbell, Walter Scott, and many others who, in their quest for unity, began from different points of the religious spectrum but whose goal was to try to return to the unity that Jesus longed for and which he demanded His disciples follow.
Rather than giving a cold academic lecture of boring names, places and events, Vinzant shares pertinent events and makes characters come to life.
