Teachers say that Kindergarten students need to know about 100 words by sight by the end of Kindergarten! These are called Dolch words.

This application will display and SAY the 106 words that teachers want Kindergarten kids to know by sight. The child can also hear the words spoken. And play a fun game to test their knowledge.

This App has two modes, 'GAME' and 'LEARN'. 'GAME' mode will lets your child test their knowledge of the 106 words and 'LEARN' mode is great for helping your child learn their words.

This is perfect practice for your child, especially when school is out for the summer!

In 'LEARN' mode the child can press the right arrow to move forward through the words and the left to move backwards. They should try to say the word and then press the speaker icon to have the word said for them so they can see how they did. This is a perfect mode to help your child learn their words.

In 'GAME' mode the app will display 10 sets of words, with six words in each set. The app will then say one of the words and your child should touch the word on the screen. If they want to hear the word again they can just press the speaker icon. This will test your child's knowledge of the 107 words. The number of correct and incorrect guesses are displayed at the bottom.
The main menu screen will display the total words practiced and the total games played. It will also display the percent of words the child had got correct through all the games.
The 'SHOW STATS' button will show the most missed words by your child so you know which words to work with your child on. The screen will also show the score of the last 5 games so you can see their progress. You can also click the 'Reset Stats' button to reset the numbers so your child can start fresh.

This application will make learning the words fun and easy. And the game mode will allow your child to see how much they are learning.
