This audible series of Shakespeare tales is a good gospel for the readers. With regard to the numerous dramas, this audible book has just extracted sixteen drams from thirty eight ones, which contains the famous five tragedies (Hemlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Othello and Romero and Juliet); two romantic dramas (Tempest and Winter's tale); the other nine dramas all belong to comedies. Even though we can't complete reading all the Shakespeare's works, these collected sixteen dramas could get us acquainted with the masterpieces.
The second advantage is that, it adopts the adapted version of Tales from Shakespeare by Charles Lamb (1775-1834). The original version of Charles Lamb is written for the English children, thus there is much simpler and plots compared with the obscure and complex ones. Besides, readers also can learn simple but exquisite prose, because Lamb is one of the most brilliant prosers in romantic period of English literature. Meantime, this series of Shakespeare tales also includes notes of English vocabulary in the nineteenth century from the version written by Lamb, makes appropriate adjustment of paragraphs, retains the original usage, grammar and punctuation, which suits to the modern situation and demands of English readers. It brings a great convenience for English readers who want to learn language by reading English novels.
