Zen Nihongo

       iOS iPhone

Zen Nihongo is an iPhone app designed to aid you in studying the Japanese language. The application uses a special algorithm to schedule cards depending on how you grade them.
In brief, cards which you are having difficulty with will be repeated more often than cards which you are more familiar with. That way, you get to focus more on the cards which you haven't retained yet. This enables you to gradually work on it until it proceeds to your long-term memory.
As you master the cards, the application will dynamically schedule them to repeat with longer intervals. The goal is for you to continually retain them over a long period of time.

Features:
● Uses an algorithm to schedule cards based on mastery level.
● Shows statistics in order to track your progress.
● Informs you how many cards are due for retention for the day.
● Contains kana (Hiragana and Katakana) decks for beginners.
● Includes vocabulary and kanji decks based on Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) specifications.

JLPT Vocabulary Decks (Cumulative)
- JLPT Level 4 / N5: 726 Cards
- JLPT Level 3 / N4: 1408 Cards
- JLPT Level 2 / N2: 5115 Cards
- JLPT Level 1 / N1: 8091 Cards

- JLPT Level 3/N4: 246 Cards
- JLPT Level 2/N2: 986 Cards
- JLPT Level 1/N1: 2230 Cards

*The revised JLPT level N3 is in between the the previous levels 2 and 3.

● Huge collection of sample sentences.
● Personal notes can be added in each card.
● Vocabularies can be searched while in study mode.
● Vocabularies have a Kanji Breakdown section.
● Kanji cards contain kanji compounds taken directly from the included JLPT Vocabulary Decks and are categorized according to level.
● Over 1500 Kanji cards contain animated stroke order diagrams to facilitate proper kanji writing.
● Browse and search the cards contained in each deck.
