太极拳是中华民族辩证的理论思维与武术、艺术、气功引导术的完美结合，是高层次的人体文化。其拳理来源于《易经》、《黄帝内经》、《黄庭经》、《纪效新书》等中国传统哲学、医术、武术等经典著作，并在其长期的发展过程中又吸收了道、儒、释等文化的合理内容，故太极拳被称为“国粹” 。太极拳的运动特点：中正安舒、轻灵圆活、松柔慢匀、开合有序、刚柔相济，动如“行云流水，连绵不断”这种运动即自然又高雅，可亲身体会到音乐的韵律，哲学的内涵，美的造型，诗的意境。在高级的享受中，使疾病消失，使身心健康。
二十四式太极拳，是太极拳五大派吴、杨、陈、武、孙之一的吴派的简化太极拳，是吴氏的竞赛套路（45式）及简化而成的简化套路，是不错的太极拳起步套路，适用与初学者。"];
