Let's be honest, even if it is one of the most natural and eldest processes of history, for every new parent it is simply a miracle to hold a small human being in their hands. And as with miracles, quite a lot of questions arise which are combined with insecurity.
This is a small guide that marks the development stages of a new-born baby more closely. Even if you have been guided by reports of medical and scientific knowledge, one must not forget that we are dealing with small individuals.
From the first day onward the little newborn will go its own way and take just as much time as it needs for each individual step of development. Certainly, there are reports about babies that stand up at 7 months and walk safely with 8 months while forming three-word-sentences. At the same time others say “mummy” or “daddy” for the first time on their second birthday while holding on to the trousers of the addressed pulling themselves up till they finally find a stand.
Do not pressure yourself or the new arrival but give it lots of love, warmth and attention. Follow your instinct and the small often awkward signs. But never forget your position as a role model while doing so and enjoy every second with the little bundle.
