This 1945 film starring Charles Laughton as Captain Kidd the Pirate. This film centres on Kidd tricking the king into hiring him to escort for a treasure ship on its way back from India. Kidd enlists a crew of cut-throats and people such as Orange Povey, a pirate who Kidd once abandoned on a reef hoping he would never see him again. This then turns into a rip roaring pirate tale !
