HOME SCREEN (Customizable modules)
- Customize your home screen by creating a list of your favorite channels. You can add, remove, and reorder as many modules as you like to personalize your DIRECTV experience. Tap on the Customize Layout & Content module to get started.
DEDICATED TABS (Playlist, Guide, Movies, Sports & Watch On iPad)
- Watch thousands of your favorite shows and movies right on your iPad.
- Organize and delete recorded programs from all of your connected HD DVR receivers.
- Search the Guide up to 14 days in advance.
- Customize the Guide by favorite channels or channels to watch on your iPad.
- Share your favorite shows with friends on Facebook or Twitter, and check into GetGlue and Miso on the show you are currently watching.
- View current sports matchups and scores by league, with the option to watch or record.
- Set your DVR to record On Demand Movies.
REQUIREMENTS
- DIRECTV customers must have a residential home account registered on DIRECTV’s website to access the DIRECTV app for iPad.
- Watching On Demand content requires an active Wi-Fi or 3G Internet connection. For best performance, connect to a strong Wi-Fi signal.
- Available content is based on your current programming package and premium service. Not all content is available to stream at this time.
- Live TV Streaming and remote control requires a Wi-Fi connection to your home network and a DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR (models R22, and HR20 or higher) connected to a broadband Internet connection. Remote control also works with HD receivers (models H21, H23 or higher) connected to a broadband Internet connection.
- Scheduling a recording requires a Wi-Fi, Edge or 3G network connection and a DIRECTV Plus® DVR (models R15, R16, and R22), DIRECTV Plus® HD DVR (models HR20 or higher) or TiVo® Series 2 receivers with 6.4a software. Receivers do not require phone or broadband Internet connection to schedule a recording.
- In rare instances, scheduled recording(s) may not be recognized.
- Tips, Tricks and Customer Support are available on the DIRECTV website.
Use of the DIRECTV iPad Application by DIRECTV customers is subject to DIRECTV's Customer Agreement and Privacy Policy (available on the DIRECTV website).

- Now DIRECTV goes anywhere you go. Get instant access to hit entertainment from HBO®, Cinemax®, Starz®, and Encore®, plus the latest DIRECTV CINEMATM movies and more, whenever and wherever you want-at home or on the go. Go to the “Watch on iPad” tab located at the bottom right of the iPad app and select “Movies”, “TV Shows” or “Networks” to start watching now.
- Also live TV channels are available to watch on your iPad within the home only. Just click on the Live TV tab.
- View programs recently watched on the iPad and resume where you left off.
- Discover the top shows and movies that people are currently watching and talking about with the new social module.
- Check in to Miso on the shows you are currently watching.

- Change start and end times to add padding to a program when setting a recording.
