Discover the true beauty of Beer by turning your iPhone or iPod touch into a LagerLamp.

Instructions:

1. Purchase a pint of beer.
2. Retreat to the darkest corner of your chosen pub.
3. IMPORTANT: increase your device's brightness to maximum (via the settings icon on the home page).
4. Start the LagerLamp app.
5. Adjust the top slider until the diameter of the lamp matches the size of your glass.
6. Adjust the bottom slider to select a colour appropriate for your drink, or touch the mode button for attention-grabbing "flash" mode or slowly-morphing fade mode.
7. Place pint on lamp.
8. Enjoy!

LagerLamp works best with light-coloured lagers, especially if your glass has a "sparkler" etched into the bottom to encourage bubbles. Lighter-coloured real ales also work well (screenshots feature real ale). Guinness is totally opaque. Fruit juice and alco-pops also work well (as shown in one of the screenshots).

Precautions:

We have not caused any damage while developing this app, but you should take care not to let beer or condensation from the glass get into the phone. A bit of cling-film would be more than adequate for this. Also take care that the glass doesn't slip from the phone and empty beer into your lap (or anyone else's).
