Trochoid

Make amazing and colorful Spirograph-like wallpaper for your iPhone or iPod Touch with Trochoid!

If you have ever played with a Spirograph, you have created curves known as epitrochoids* and hypotrochoids**. Using a Multi-Touch interface, Trochoid allows you to create amazing designs based on these curves that you can save in your Photo Library where they can be turned into wallpaper or shared.

It's fun and addicting watching the design change with Multi-Touch gestures and seeing what colors the color scheme generator comes up with.

For math fans only:

* an epitrochoid is a curve generated by a pen a distance P from the center of a circle of radius r that is revolving around the outside of another circle of radius R.

** a hypotrochoid is similar to an epitrochoid, but the circle with the pen revolves around the inside of the other circle.

Trochoid allows you to manipulate the values of P, r, and R and see the effects in real time.
