UPDATE: The Standard VAT rate has increased to 17.5% on the 1st January 2010, from the old temporary rate of 15%.
Use VAT Mate to work with both rates.

VAT Mate is a handy application designed to make working with VAT (value added tax) easy. Especially reverse VAT calculations.

Features:
- Very easy to use.
- Add VAT or reverse it out of an included amount.
- Short explanation of each tax rate.
- Link to HMRC website if more info is needed.
- Clean user interface design.

Simply choose your VAT rate, the standard rate of 17.5% or the reduced rate of 5%. (The temporary lower standard rate of 15% ended on the 1st January 2010 and is still included in this app).

Enter an amount into either the VAT Excluded field or VAT Included field, click the Calculate button and VAT Mate will do the rest.

Click reset to start again with clean empty fields.
