dCode Basic
dCode challenges the user to decrypt phrases by manipulating combinations of shift, tilt, and spike parameters. Word to the wise: simple encoding mechanisms spawn complexity quickly. These puzzles are for neither the weak-minded nor the faint of heart.
The first three levels are designed to acquaint you with the encoding devices used: shift, which changes all letters in the phrase by a certain interval in the alphabet; tilt, which changes letters by a greater interval if they occur later in the phrase; and spike, which changes every other letter up or down by a certain interval, creating a sawtooth pattern. After that, different combinations of mechanisms are used. It's up to you to deduce how they will interact.
Stuck? Press the red button for a push in the right direction. It will get you nearly but not exactly to the solution.
