Go Bang is an abstract strategy board game and is also called Gomoku, 5-in-one-row . It is traditionally played with go pieces (black and white stones) on a go board (19x19 intersections); however, because once placed, pieces are not moved or removed from the board, gomoku may also be played as a Paper and pencil game.

Black plays first, and players alternate in placing a stone of their color on an empty intersection. The winner is the first player to get an unbroken row of five stones horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.

五子棋是一種兩人對弈的純策略型棋類遊戲，是起源於中國古代的傳統黑白棋種之一。發展於日本，流行於歐美。容易上手，老少皆宜，而且趣味橫生，引人入勝；不僅能增強思維能力，提高智力，而且富含哲理，有助於修身養性。

棋子分為黑白兩色，棋盤為19X19，棋子放置於棋盤線交叉點上。兩人對局，各執一色，輪流下一子，先將橫、豎或斜線的5個或5個以上同色棋子連成不間斷的一排者為勝。
