Gridiron is a strategy game based on North American football. Players assume the role of head coach and select all of their team's offensive, defensive, and special teams plays.

Just as in real football, players must consider a variety of factors on every play in order to guarantee the best chance of success.

Defensive Play Calling

-- Move the individual position of any player on defense to defend exactly where you think the offense will attack, but at the risk of leaving other zones weaker

Clock Management
----------------

- Coaches have to call time outs strategically to conserve time left on the game clock.

- Each play runs time off of the game clock, depending on the play results

- The game clock stops or continues after each play based on the results

- The game clock runs between plays when appropriate

- Plays directed toward the side lines have a better chance of ending out of bounds and stopping the clock

- Teams simulate "hurry up" mode late in each half by taking less time between plays

Turnovers

- Fumbles and interceptions are possible on any play

- The odds of turnovers happening is determined by the position and play zone selected by offense and by the stance and formation chosen by the defense

What's new

- Updated button fonts

- Tweaked the game flow so that the ball is hiked with one second left in situations where the game clock would have ended or stopped for the two minute warning during the huddle. This used to result in the play being cancelled and was annoying.

- Fixed a bug that would cause a team to get a free possession if they scored a TD on the last play of the first or third quarter.
