BioClock Fertility & Pregnancy Calculator
BioClock is a simple and easy to use, fertility & pregnancy calculator. Designed by an ObGyn for women themselves, it is powerful and accurate enough to be the choice for many obstetricians and midwives.
IF YOU ARE PREGNANT:
If you are pregnant, you can easily and accurately calculate your own due date from your last period, conception date, or early dating ultrasound. You can also simply enter the due date your doctor has assigned. Once one parameter is entered, the others are calculated and displayed on the main screen. For example, you can enter your due date and see when your last period likely was or when you likely conceived.
The precise gestational age of your baby is displayed clearly. The unique “Gestational Age and Date interface” is one of the highlights of this application. Using it, you can easily change either the “date” or “gestational age” and instantly see the corresponding “gestational age” or “date.” This is useful in determining how far along you will be on certain dates, or when you should go for certain tests.
The due date calendar displays your estimate due date, but more importantly, your “due date range.” Only 5% of babies are born on the assigned due date. However, the majority of women go into labor naturally within a “due date range” of 10 days on either side. Don’t plan on delivering on your due date and you wont be disappointed.
IF YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT:
If you are not pregnant, the features of this application are utilized by entering your last menstrual period and cycle length. This is not a menstrual tracker. For example, you cannot track irregular cycles from month to month, nor keep track of (or display) the actual days of bleeding you have each month.
If you are PLANING A PREGNANCY, you can use the main screen to determine when you should try and get pregnant to have your baby at a certain time.
If you are TRYING TO GET PREGNANT, the fertility calendar can help improve your chances of getting pregnant by suggesting the best times of your cycle to be intimate. Knowing your fertile days can help avoid an unplanned pregnancy.
If your cycles are IRREGULAR, then the cycle days calendar is useful. This uses your last menstrual period and counts forwards. It is used to keep track of how long your cycle actually is, or if you need to take medication (fertility drugs) or have blood tests done on certain days of your cycle. For example, based on your last period, you can tell at a glance when day 28 or 32 actually is.
If you simply want to PREDICT FUTURE MENSTRUAL CYCLES and your cycles are fairly regular, then the fertility calendar can help. This predicts and displays the next few months in an easy to view calendar.
IMPORTANT DATING INFORMATION:
Keep in mind that the displayed dates are based on a 28 day cycle by default and therefore may not be accurate if your cycle varies. Cycle length can vary from women to women and from month to month. Therefore, always modify your average cycle length if it is not 28 days. Luteal phase length is set at 14 days, which is the average length for most women.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES:
For your protection it contains optional password security and memory features. If utilized, your due date and current gestational age is automatically displayed each time you open the application.
