Living in New York City means having a plethora of restaurant options. But as anyone knows, finding a restaurant that is highly rated or recommended doesnt always mean that it's clean and safe to eat there. Let Food Cop help you in finding out whether your favorite eating establishment is clean, dirty, or following regulations.

Food Cop:NYC Edition allows you to search for restaurants by way of name, by zip code, or even better, it helps you find your zip code wherever you are, so you can see what restaurants are in the area, and how they rate on the number of violations they're cited for.

Food Cop:NYC Edition is the first of forthcoming assistants to help you find the best places to go eat. Food Cop:NYC Edition is based on NYC Department of Health restaurant inspections data. The NYC Edition gathers data for all 5 boroughs of NYC, including Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Staten Island and the Bronx.

Not only will Food Cop:NYC Edition show you the score of the restaurant inspection, but it will also show you which specific violations were observed. Find out if the food you've been eating was handled incorrectly, whether or not there's rats, mice or roaches running around your dish before it hits your table.
