Bio:
Rupert Shonaike, born in London 1947, is a master of Tai Chi Chuan, chinese yoga, calisthenics and chinese boxing (soft style).
In 1961 he won the junior ABA Boxing championships for london. In the early 70s he began a fulltime training with Prof Chee Soo of the International Wu Shu Association, in various aspects of the Chinese martials and therapeutic movement arts. After four years of intensive training, he began assisting Prof.Chee Soo in the London Wu Shu School.After 10 years he recieved his Mastership in Tai Chi Chuan, Chinese Yoga and a soft style óf chinese boxing. Parallel to these studies he also qualified in various massage techniques with the ITEC,therapeutic sports and relaxation massage as well as reflexology.
In 1979 RupertShonaike became a full member of the ,Faculty Of Physiatrics'. The Yang Style of Tai Chi Chuan he trained with students of the late Yang Shou Chung. In 1977 he was one of only 3 TCC trainers in Germany. Today he runs a busy
studio in the heart of Cologne where he leads teachers courses and public trainings. He also works as a Stressmanagement-Trainer with Banks and
Corporations i.e since 1997 regular weekly courses at the Ford Motor Company Europe.
He is also the author and producer of the
'amazon'-Bestseller DVD: Tai Chi Chuan, Cassical Yang Style in 5 Chapters.
