iMasterControl Lite
iMasterControl Lite turns your iPod touch or iPhone into a fully-functional universal remote control. Now you can control your tv, audio/video receiver, dvd player, etc. with an interface easy enough for your grandparents to understand! No more fumbling through your collection of remotes! No more explaining your complicated system to your guests! Simplify your life.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your iPod/iPhone does NOT generate the IR signals needed to control audio/video devices. Therefore, a home automation "base station" is REQUIRED. This base station (also known as a "control system" or "controller") receives Wi-Fi signals from iMasterControl and then sends IR commands to your devices. Controllers are sold separately and they are EXPENSIVE.
Currently supported controller brands are:
★ AMX (NetLinx)
★ Crestron (IP-enabled 2-Series)
ALSO: The custom programming in your automation controller must be UPDATED to support iMasterControl. You may need to hire a consultant to do this. A protocol manual and sample source code are posted on our Web site.
iMasterControl Lite also includes an offline mode that simulates the responses from a controller. Text and highlight responses are simulated for audio/video devices and drapes/lights.
iMasterControl Lite provides a fixed set of controls for typical devices such as a tv, dvr, disc players, drapes, and lights. The Lite version can be configured for your controller's IP address, but the panels and buttons cannot be customized.
Try iMasterControl Lite to test our product for suitability. Then buy our fully-customizable iMasterControl Pro. The Pro version can be customized EXTENSIVELY to support myriads of audio/video source devices, drapes, and lights. iMasterControl Pro supports up to 999 rooms or "zones", and each zone can have its own automation controller.
What's new
Minor enhancements to the user interface (Version 1.1):
● Scene names are now shown as the titles of the source-selection button panels (instead of the generic titles "Audio Sources" and "Video Sources").
● Television channel names and logos have been updated, where appropriate.
● Each mutually-exclusive switch group in the Drapes and Lights lists is now shown as a "section". This visually separates each group from other switches and switch groups.
Connectivity enhancement (Version 1.15):
● A "reachability" test has been added when the application starts (or wakes from sleep). This prevents an unnecessary (and annoying and confusing) error message if the Wi-Fi or carrier network hardware is not yet "ready to use".
