My Indian Wedding and It's Ancient Rituals
Indian word for Marriage is “VIVAH” which is originated from Sanskrit language. Indian wedding rituals are very sacred and has got lot of meaning why they need to be performed during the marriage. Some of them were proven scientifically too. Each and every ritual is done for a purpose, they leads to harmony, strength, nourishment, happiness, progeny, prosperity, long life and understanding of the bride & the groom.
Through this app I would like to describe how my Indian wedding happened explaining at the same time the importance of Indian wedding and it’s ancient rituals through my wedding pictures.
Marriage is not just about exchanging rings or celebrating the event. In fact it is a sacred relationship which joins two souls to pursue/attain -
1. Dharma: Righteous conduct and the fulfillment of civic and religious responsibilities.
2. Artha: Accumulation of wealth and prosperity.
3. Kama: Physical pleasures.
4. Moksha: Ultimately obtaining liberation from the cycle of re-briths.
Wife and husband are like a two wheels of a chariot, no one is superior to each other. They got married in this life due to their Karma’s in their past life. That is their destiny. That is why if you see some couples wherever they born will get close to each other and get married. Their past Karma create such a magical events in this life which will make them closer somehow.
My Indian wedding happened colourfully following old rituals and traditions which are about 4000-5000 years old. Each ritual of the wedding is performed by chanting the holy hymns of the vedas which has got a deep spiritual meaning.
