The Daily Gift
Discover a few of the many ways that organ donation has saved lives with THE DAILY GIFT -- an iPad application developed to mark National Donate Life Month in 2011.
THE DAILY GIFT is part of THE POWER OF TWO, a multimedia project inspired by the story of Anabel Stenzel and Isabel Stenzel Byrnes, identical twins with a fatal genetic disease who received life-saving double lung transplants.
THE POWER OF TWO is a soon-to-be-released documentary film that aims to increase the number of organ donors worldwide. Alongside film production, THE POWER OF TWO crew recorded over 100 VideoGrams from members of the transplant community at the 2010 NKF U.S. Transplant Games in Madison, WI.
Throughout National Donate Life Month in April 2011, THE DAILY GIFT will feature thirty of these VideoGrams, with one premiering each day. THE DAILY GIFT also provides interactive information about organ donation and transplantation, and connects users to statewide organ donor registries.
