This is our solution to the problem. Simply loop the audio signal from your TV receiver through your iPhone and enjoy the vuvuzela-free sound.
Or simply hold your iPhone microphone close to the TV speaker and listen with headphones.
(If you are using a headset, the microphone of the headset is used as preferred audio input. So using ordinary headphones is best.)
