Whatsinaname - Fun with names
Want to know what's in a name? There's an app for that.
This app generates all possible word combinations from the name you enter. You then rearrange those words to see if you can form a clever or meaningful phrase.
PLEASE NOTE: Some names entered will not generate many word combinations if they are particularly short or do not contain many vowels. The app does much of the work for you, but it doesn't decide for you which word combinations are clever. That's up to you and that's the fun part.

- Search for celebrity anagrams, some classics:
Clint Eastwood = Old West Action
Ronald Reagan = A Darn Long Era
George Bush = He Bugs Gore
Meg Ryan = Germany
Britney Spears = Presbyterians
Eric Clapton = Narcoleptic
Travis Lee = Versatile
- Check to see if there are hidden meanings in baby names you are considering. For example, from some of the top names for babies born in California in 2007:
Emily = My Lie
Isabella = Be All As I
Daniel = Denial
or add your last name to a first name you are considering to see what comes up.
- Check your name and your friend's names for fun hidden meanings. Entertainment at the restaurant, bar or dinner table.
- Discover your own new celebrity anagrams and share them with the community.
- Check for meanings in common words. Some examples:
Listen = Silent
Postmaster = Stamp Store
Funeral = Real Fun
Statue of Liberty = Built To Stay Free
A Gentleman = Elegant Man
Desperation = A Rope Ends It
Schoolmaster = A Classroom
Conversation = Voices Rant On
Dormitory = Dirty Room
