Translate

       Mac OS

Translate helps you decipher the indecipherable. Translate text between 55 languages, from Afrikaans to Yiddish. You can even translate into multiple languages simultaneously. And getting text into Translate couldn't be easier—simply select some text almost anywhere on your Mac, right-click, and choose Services → Translate. The app will figure out the original language on its own!

Most of the world doesn't speak your language. Read and write theirs instead with Translate.

Note: Translate requires an Internet connection to retrieve translations.

What's new

This version of Translate switches to Google Language Tools version 2, which should help with the Quota Exceeded errors. I'm still tweaking the settings on the new API, so please contact me if you get a Quota Exceeded error after installing this update.

This version also improves compatibility with OS X Lion and adopts Lion's higher-security App Sandbox feature.

If you've experienced problems with Translate in the last few weeks, I apologize—you should have a much better time with Translate 1.3. If you have any further difficulties, please contact me by visiting Translate Support.
