ACLS Simulator

Anesoft ACLS Simulator for iPhone is a real-time simulator that provides the ability to practice the management of cardiac arrest. The treatment protocols in this course are based on latest recommendations of the International Consensus on Science published in the Guidelines 2005 for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Select a simulated case scenario, study the patient's history and determine the ECG rhythm. Assess the patient, control the Airway, Breathing, and Circulation, Defibrillate and provide other treatment as necessary. You will have successfully treated the problem with restoration of a spontaneous pulse.

The best way to learn to use the ACLS Simulator program is to run Case 1 and select What Now? repeatedly during the case simulation. This example case will highlight most of the features of the program. You will need to perform CPR, defibrillate, intubate and administer medications.

Following the resuscitation, the simulated patient may be hypotensive or hypertensive, have myocardial ischemia or other problems requiring further treatment. ACLS Simulator for the iPhone concentrates only on restoration of the rhythm and pulse. Use Anesoft's Hemodynamics Simulator to review cardiovascular physiology, invasive monitoring, and vasoactive infusions. Use Anesoft's Critical Care Simulator to practice the management of cardiovascular and respiratory emergencies other than cardiac arrest.

ACLS Simulator for the iPhone is shipped with a case library of 12 cases. The first 6 cases cover the Pulseless Arrest Algorithm. Cases 1-3 are ventricular fibrillation, cases 4-5 are pulseless ventricular tachycardia, and case 6 is asystole. The remainder of the cases review the ACLS Tachycardia Algorithm. We suggest you work through the cases in order, but you don't have to.
