This application provides an interface via the iPhone to the Cancer Bioinformatics Infrastructure Objects (caBIO) data service, which links to a repository of biomedical data. The caBIO data service is part of the Cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid® (caBIG®) program at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The software for the caBIO data service was developed by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) under contract to the NCI in collaboration with the NCI's Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (NCI CBIIT). This iPhone application interfaces with the caBIO data service, but was not developed by, and is not supported or endorsed by, the NCI. Use the search feature to find the biomedical entity you are interested in -- for instance, the BRCA1 gene -- and then use the touch interface to browse the associated caBIO objects. Discover the gene's location on the genome, drug associations mined from the literature, and even view pathway diagrams which include the gene.

What's new

This release fixes a bug with the initial "brca1" search result screen which caused incorrect objects to be returned. The app has also been updated to use version 4.3 of the caBIO API.
