Exploding Skull
Learning the name and location of each bone of the skull and the relationships between the bones is simplified with this exploding model. The App was reconstructed from a high resolution CT scan of a real human skull. Because each bone was carefully segmented, it can be viewed independent of the other bones and its anatomical landmarks identified. By cutting the skull in half all of the internal bones can be viewed. Repeatedly rotating and exploding the skull allows the user to appreciate and remember the complicated construction.
