MedCards is a lithe little application that includes essential information and simple tools used in everyday medical practice. Imagine your pocket Maxwell guide went to the Apple store and got itself some style and a few new friends.

Medical students, interns, residents, and attending physicians already know the utility of having a ruler, Snellen chart, or normal lab value reference guide at a moment’s notice. To this end, we make do with stacks of all those oddly shaped laminated cards that never seem to be in the order or location we had hoped. That is, if you can find them...

That’s where MedCards comes in.

MedCards is exactly what it sounds like: a collection of extraordinarily useful medical cards. They are for everyday (rulers, pupil gage, pain scale) and high-yield (dermatome map, neuro exam) use. In addition to clear and pleasant design, each card also includes an “about” screen that provides annotation and references to its use.

And the best part is: it’s everywhere your iPhone is. Not only will this inexpensive pocket guide save you time, you’ll look good in the process.
