Pregnancy and Drug Safety provides quick and easy access to DRUG-SAFETY information related to: PREGNANCY, BREASTFEEDING, LABOR & DELIVERY.
Pregnancy & Drug Safety is the only iPhone application with pregnancy-related drug-safety data obtained directly from the Package Inserts (Prescribing Information) for more than 5,000 drugs recognized by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
Pregnancy and Drug Safety provides drug-safety information that is essential to obstetricians, pediatricians, pregnant women, and mothers of nursing children. If you are a healthcare professional or are interested in checking the effects of drugs on pregnant mother & child, Pregnancy & Drug Safety is an invaluable resource.
All information provided by Pregnancy & Drug Safety is obtained directly from each drug’s FDA-recognized Prescribing Information/Package Insert.
For each drug of interest, the drug-safety information provided by Pregnancy and Drug Safety includes:
1. Drug Pregnancy Category (A, B, C, D, X or Unknown). (An explanation of each Drug Category is also included.)
2. Drug-safety information concerning the drug’s effects on human pregnancy.
3. Drug-safety information concerning the drug’s effects on labor and delivery in humans.
4. Drug-safety information concerning the drug’s effects on breastfeeding in humans
5. Drug-safety information concerning the drug’s effects on pregnancy, labor and delivery, and nursing in animals.
- Users can bookmark 'favorite' drugs for convenient access.
- Users can email pregnancy-related drug-safety information.
Information is updated at least twice per month (including the addition of newly approved drugs) until the end of 2010.
