Preterm is fetal fibronectin calculator for determining the risk for premature delivery.
According to the March of Dimes, half a million babies are born prematurely each year representing almost 10% of all pregnancies. Premature birth is the second most common cause of infant death in the United States. Despite medical advances, there are few treatments for the prevention of preterm delivery. To help predict preterm delivery, some doctors now suggest that women with symptoms be tested for fetal fibronectin (fFN). PreTerm by usefulmobileapps.com was designed to take four simple data points and calculate a patients risk for premature delivery.
PreTerm is intended to be used by physicians but can also be used by expecting mothers if they know their cervical length and have had a fetal fibronectin protein test.
