3QuarterSetFree

3QuarterSetFree emulates the three drones and two regulators (tenor and baritone) found on a 3/4 set of Uilleann Pipes (Irish Bagpipes) in the key of C.

3QuarterSetFree uses high-quality 44 KHz 16-bit audio samples from my personal set of Uilleann pipes built by Kirk Lynch, not synthesized tones, so it sounds extremely realistic.

Switch between single regulator and chord regulator play mode by touching the regulator icon below the drone puck.

For chord mode, you may choose between the A/C or G/C chord for the top regulator on the settings page.

With the iPhone or iPod Touch mounted on the leg (or on top of an existing set of drones) using a foam block and velcro ties, it is possible to play 3QuarterSetFree exactly as one would the physical instrument. Turn the drones on and off by touching the drone puck icon and play the regulators with the fingers or wrist.

3QuarterSetFree can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to add the unique sound of the Uilleann pipe drones and regulators to their live or recorded music.

You may now play along with the tunes on your iPhone or iPod Touch, just start the music before running 3QuarterSetFree. Using Apple's Settings app, you may configure your device to bring up the iPod music controls by double clicking the home button to change tracks within an album.
