note: if the pads are not working and your silent switch is not on, it's possible your ringer volume is set all the way down or to low. Because of how Beatbox is programmed coupled with the way 2.x has two separate volumes for system sounds and music, you have to exit the application, turn up the ringer volume, then go back in.
